A little bit about me

Hi! I’m Katherine, a UI/UX designer based in Montreal, Canada, with six years of experience. I graduated from Université Laval in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. A few months later, I flew to Australia with one backpack for what was supposed to be a one-year trip. Nine years later, I returned to Canada with one partner, one daughter, two citizenships, and three suitcases.

I am organized, empathetic, and creative, with great attention to detail. These qualities, combined with my experience, enable me to design products that align perfectly with user needs while achieving the company's objectives.

From 2016 to 2021, I worked as a UX designer for Global Work & Travel, a company in the travel industry based on the Gold Coast in Australia. As the sole designer, I was responsible for all stages of the UX design process for multiple projects. I worked closely with the CEO, and the CTO, as well as the marketing, content, and web development teams to create the most effective products possible. This experience provided me with an exceptional opportunity for growth, both professionally and personally.

From January to October 2023, I worked as an interaction designer at FLO, a company in the electric vehicle charging industry. My role involved creating a comprehensive design system, participating in the ideation phase for new products, and handling the UI/UX design of two portals. This rewarding experience, during which I had the privilege of collaborating with talented designers, significantly expanded my skillset and enhanced my adaptability in facing new challenges.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time in nature, travelling, practicing yoga, exploring new ways to reduce my ecological footprint, and, above all, I love spending time with my family and watching my daughter grow.
